Yes it can be done.
I adapted a set to my low mount system. I had to make short extensions from the cans to the passenger peg hangers (sorry no close up pics but you can just barely make one out on the left can). RC exhausts are larger diameter tubing than Superhawk so you'll need to make or find thicker gaskets for the superhawk headers if you use the RC mid-pipes. On my setup, I was running aftermarket superhawk low mount mid-pipes so I didn't have that issue.
To adapt the highmount system, you need to either:
A) remove the passenger peg mounts completely and fab a new bracket
or
B) use spacers and very long bolts to greatly widen the mounts to clear the micron mid-pipes.
Option B solution is used by several aftermarket companies.
FWIW, I tried adapting RC headers to my old superhawk (aka superbling). Close but no cigar. I learned all this by first mounting stock RC pipes to the SuperHawk.
BTW, those microns sounded delicious. First buyer who heard it fire up bought the bike at full asking price.
