Got a set of 16.5 Marchesini rims in white. There were originally the standard gold, but got powder coated by the previous owner. The PC is flaking off a bit along the edge due to tires changes.
Although these rims are cheap there is a catch. Right now all i have are the spacers for the 1krr. You 'may' need to purchase a set of spacers for the RC to have them mount up properly. Don't have an RC put together enough to check fitment for you, so this is something you will need to figure out on your own. It may be that a spacer or 2 needs a tiny trim here or there, or it may be that you'll need to order a different set.
This being the case i'll take off 100 bucks so the buyer can use that to buy a new set of spacers if need be. If it turns out you don't need new spacers then use the extra bucks for whatever you want. So instead of 1,500 the price on the rims will be 1,400 plus shipping.
I have 3 sets of slicks if you want to get some from me. They range from slightly used, to barely used, to new.
I also have numerous sprockets so if you want something in the 520 size they range from 20-30 bucks each.
This is an absolutely incredible deal and John is a great guy to deal with. The difference that these wheels make in handling performance is awesome. Someone really needs to jump on these quick. (I already have a set or I would). Bump for Varium.

So does anyone here have any feedback or advice about running 16.5" rims? Obviously slicks are the only option, so is it worth doing if not racing, just doing track days at an intermediate pace?
I could give tons of feedback, but i take you're looking for others(objective 3rd parties) to chime in. One thing to keep in mind is that you can also run rain tires on these rims. Not sure how much the law up there hassles riders about having treaded tires, but if they do you can run rain tires out on the streets.
I wouldn't go for a full afternoon of aggressive mountain riding in the summer heat on dry pavement cause you could 'cook' the rain ties to where they start to lose their grip. However, for just common riding around or even real aggressive riding in the rain they will do just fine. This has worked fine for me on several occasions anyway, so i can't see why it would be any different for others.

I'm running 16.5s on mine. I bought them because I got a set of forged magnesium wheels for about $2k. The MOI of magnesium wheels is very low. For instance:
Marchesini forged Aluminum wheels weigh 8.8 lbs frt. and 13.8 lbs rr. MOI is 512 lb in^2 frt and 786 lb in^2 rr.
Marchesini forged mag wheels weigh 6.5 lbs frt and 11.12 lbs rr. - not a huge difference, but the MOI is 276 frt and 373 rr. a very large difference that is has a noticable effect.
I can't claim to ride 16.5 s'bike slicks to the limit, but the difference in handling from stock wheels was almost like riding a completely different motorcycle. No regrets.
