Default FS: Gas Tank Red/Silver

So up for sale is my 2001 tank. However, it does leak at the rear mount. As shown in the pics, I tried to fix it by sanding and applying quick steel, however it did not hold and still leaks a little. I ended up buying a new tank so I am selling this one. For someone who has the time, it can be fixed by applying some JB weld (should have used that in the first place) and perhaps some inner tank sealant for good measure. I estimate that it will take a couple hours and $25 worth of materials to get this tank up and running. A tank in this condition usually runs about $450, so this is a great chance to get a pretty mint red/silver tank and save a couple hundred bucks, if you are willing to put in a little TLC. I do not have the time or a place to do the work, so my loss is your gain. The only blemish is a dime-sized dimple on the top of the tank (front right side) that I tried to capture in the pics. However, it is only visible under certain lighting conditions. Other than that the tank is in fantastic shape.

I will include shipping to anywhere in the continental US. Paypal is preferred.

Looks like there is a dent on the left side of the top. Optical illusion?

No, Mark, I think Bryan is right.

There looks to be a crease at the top left front corner. If you run your fingers over it you can usually tell.

I can check but I have never noticed anything other than the dimple. I am at work now so I'll try to remember and check on it tomorrow.

I looked at it again and there is in fact a small crease there. I never noticed it before.

SO yeah, I'll send it to you for $100. Will PM you with payment details.

Edit: MRGRN, your PM box appears to be full. Will try again to PM you tomorrow.
