Hey Dave-

They list clutch covers specifically?
For all bikes?
Most bikes (I4) they would just need case covers on each side, both ends of the crank.

They just say they are going to start requiring engine case covers. The only one I can find for the RC is the clutch cover. I wish I would have seen the one you had for sale in time to grab it.

Here is part of the newsletter:

Engine Covers/Case Guards
Item 7 of the revisions bluntly states that you need Engine Case guards
“where available”. By that we mean a race cover, not some pseudo-CF
Bling cover.
First off, the first race weekend is only weeks away and we are not going
to force you to deal with this right away. That weekend we will be looking
for covers and advising you whether yours is compliant, but we will not
withhold stickers on that basis. Not in May.
Okay, so will we eventually require them for your bike? Which covers are
legal? What is the mechanism?
We are keying off a list the AMA maintains for this purpose, found at:
http://admin.amaproracing.com/assets...pment_List.pdf
Look under “Crash Protection: eng. covers” and “Crash Protection: case
covers”. If the AMA requires them, so do we.
But that list only applies if your bike is currently AMA legal. What about the
rest of you? Here is a list of engine cover vendors:
