Default trading

Well I think i am trading the rc in on a 2012 1000rr next week. Went and looked today and they got close on the numbers i had in mind we missed by about 200 so i figured that was close enough not to worry with trying to sell it and i get to keep most of my stuff off of it. i have pretty much always rode a 1000rr but i wanted to try the rc. I hate to let it go but i hate trying to find the high end parts that i want for it and i dont need 2 bikes. I will have some parts up forsale next week if i decide to do it for sure. Still kind of on the fence since the rc is paid for and i will end up finacing a little on the new one.

Had an RC before the CBR. Miss the RC but they are two different bikes really. You will love the 1k (perfect liter bike) but if you can swing it, hold on to the RC...

I sold my RC and bought a 1000rr both deals happened while i was in Kuwait. I wish i still had my RC. the 1000rr is fast and smooth but I miss the V-twin some days. My RC had suspension done and my 1000rr needs Suspension work. I think if I had been home I would have passed on the 1000rr and bought something else but i got into it cheap enough i'm ok with it.

I second keeping the RC. I like my 1000rr but I loved my RC.

Only time I ever miss my RC51 is when I have to ride the track in the rain.

The 1000RR excels way past the RC51 in every other facet from ergonomics to performance to simple fuel mileage, but when the track is wet the RC will make you a riding deity.

There isn't any category that a RC will outperform a rr. But there's still something about it. I ride with 2 buddies, 1 on an 08rr, another on a 2010 R1. We trade rides sometimes, but they never want to trade back. The R1 sounds fantastic, but the rr is a better ride.

I've spent quite a bit of time riding the '12 1KRR this season and must say it's a brilliant bike with few faults -- smooth , comfortable , responsive , reliable of course , and Honda's new 'shake 'n bake' paint process yields a glass finish . But after you marvel at the performance advantage which a decade of engineering has produced , the CBR feels like an appliance compared to my 05 RC51 .
