Maybe I just have the Silverhawk on my mind, but I'm thinking a nice grey paint with some silver graphics. It would look good with the grey wheels and silver frame. I had a friend who had a '56 Chevy painted grey with silver flames on it, and it looked incredible.

If you mean donate in the context of trading for a set of aftermarket exhaust hangers then yes that was nice of him. Although that was a bit off topic, no matter what, he is a nice dude.
Now back to the regularly scheduled thread.........still hoping to see some ideas for paint. I thought about the RC30 style, but did see another bike with that done before so thinking about something a bit different. Thinking the colors would be lighter because i've already done the 04 in black/carbon fiber, but would like to consider anything.
Will post up pics and more details of the bike once completed. And to answer a common PM question i've been getting.....the air comes through an intake in the front of the upper between the headlight lenses.

And a Marco Simoncelli inspired Italiano styled piece with red, green, white and gold pin-striping around the colors and wing...
Pipes are off getting coated and the bike is soon to be getting color. I still haven't come up with anything that really grabs my attention. Last chance to make suggestions before she goes and gets painted a frame matching silver as a last resort. Will let the new owner figure out what scheme they want to go with from there.
I would keep it simple. Go with either the stock red/black/silver of the 00-02 RC51. The new CBR600RR in red/white looks good too, but you would have to make the wheels white to pull off the look. Or go with black/silver with silver wings like wildchild's bike:
Unfortunately large areas of dark colors on the silver frame don't look good. Looks great on the black frame but it just looks a little odd. To me anyway, already did the black on silver frame and didn't think to much of it. Wanted to do something different than the stock color schemes as i could have easily just put oem body work on the bike and saved myself lots and lots of headache.
Someone want to run a PS with matte black/charcoal base coat with a silver honda wing along the side like oem for the 03 panels? Also wondering what a battleship gray in matte would look like with the same silver wing.....or even a matte gunmetal blue for the wing.
