YEE HAW!!!! Nice looking ride there sir!! Cool looking road too!!

That RSV4 sure looked effortless pulling out of those corners. As soon as he touched the right hand it would jump ya couple bike lengths.

Cool vid, nice road, and even better save!!!!

It's unreal. I rode it before he had the suspension and geometry dialed in and didn't really push it in the corners, but the power was just insane.. made the RC feel like a moped in comparison. It was just smooth and strong from bottom to as high as I revved it. There was another guy on that ride with the plain R model. Both guys do a lot of track time and combined with those bikes they were at the front all day. Sound is really something too.

HIS MISTAKE WAS SPINNING UP THE REAR...

Mark, I bet the truck would win ...

And if he would have chopped the throttle the highside would have left the truck plenty of room.

it's called throttle control

not a big fan of look at me vids and the whole intention of the vid from the start was some knee down tire spinning type riding. We all go woo hoo you saved it but nobody seems to understand what could have happened to the rider or the family of kids in the other car or truck. We have a rather dangerous sport and it gets a bad rap with some because of things like this. There is no reason for that to have happened to start with it all should have been avoided is all. I am glad nobody got hurt but i prefer to watch heros on TV then on speedzilla

Yeah, he was totally "squiding-out" riding like a total douche...

Obviously they weren't going flat out. If you have ever ridden for a period of time at an enthusiatic pace then steeping it out is bound to happen. Yeah he saved it, that IS throttle control. A newb would have chopped off the throttle and ended up through the windshield or under the tire of that truck. If this was too much for you I'm sure the VFR forums have some nice touring vids.

Pretending to take the moral high ground here is unnecessary. We get it, risk it for the biscuit. There's a back button on your browser.

Nice run, good save, god bless the innocent children in the 5000lb truck.

Tire temperatures/pressure/condition, g-forces, torque. Add them together you can have tire slippage....AT ANY SPEED (ever seen a burnout?)

I've had my tire step out when pulling out of work and trying to get up to speed for traffic. I wasn't show-boating, I wasn't trying to win a TT race, I was just riding as every other responsible rider. I was going maybe 15mph and the conditions existed. I didn't kill any children.

But obviously this was:

Dangerous riding + squid + truck + bench seat full of orphans = unjustifiable catastrophe.

30mph...lol. Mark, you're a rookie. A rookie motorcyclist, a rookie carbon and motorcycle part maker, a rookie business man and a piss poor human. You're like a whiny little kid trapped in a man's body (I think).. for some reason you've gotten much worse over the years. No one considers anything you say, other than for what it is. Bullshit.

Good God, this is the most accurate description of Mark I've ever seen. Well done Sir!

Pick a different gear going into that corner and your exit will be fine, I've learned from my own mistakes in T3 and T6 at BIR

Look everyone, Mark is here!

If the entire point of this thread was to make a big to-do about his spin-up and save (which was very well done and he kept great composure), then he would have edited the 5 seconds of "action" video out of the entire thing.

Akilldema! Your right about those BT016!! I thought I was imagining things when running them, ran into rear tire spinning issue also. Had a couple of scarey moments. People thought i was just screwing around, or pushing it to hard. Went back too, and stayed with pilot powers.

I've been happy with them, just gotta respect the limits. I will try the S20 next, seems like a good tire from what I've read. Hope it sticks.

How much is your tire pressure going up after it gets hot?

When you have too little pressure in the tire, it gets hotter and the temps rise more. I have been told by people that know what they are talking about that something around a 5psi difference between hot and cold temps is optimal (for the track anyways). So say you have 32 cold and 39 hot. You are running too little pressure. Bump it up 3 or 4 psi while cold and see what it does. Too low of a pressure is just as bad as too much.

Honestly, from the riding in the video it doesn't look like you could have gotten it up to overheating. Of course if it is at too low of a pressure, and who knows how long/hard you were riding before the camera was on then you could have easily gotten it too hot. I've done the same thing numerous times in all conditions, it doesn't take an alignment of the stars.

I don't think it was overheated until the big spin up, I just pushed the rear too hard. It was plenty hot, but likely not too much. I'll bring my gauge and check the temps next time, I have considered going to 33-34psi. I was just too quick on the gas really. I came from D211 GP (soft) and it can handle pretty much anything you throw at it.
