Default Tire shop in NW Atlanta?

More seriously I have been working in Mexico since the first of the year. Finally got home a week ago and pulled the bike out of storage. Man have I ever missed riding.

Well yesterday about 5pm I decided to do a banzai run to Atlanta. 500 miles straight on the RC. What a great ride. Even the stock seat wasn't too bad. Of course having to fuel up every 120 miles might have helped relieve some of that issue.

Unfortunately, my rear tire, which I mistakenly thought would survive the trip is now showing cord. It's like it melted away. So now it appears I'll be here an extra day getting a new tire put on.

So it's been years since I lived in Atlanta and much has changed. Where is my best option to get the right size tire for the RC? Kens Tires any good? Also used to be a shop over on South Cobb that specialized in sport bike gear. They still around? Don't remember the name.

Thanks for any and all input.

Theres a Cycle Gear here in Roswell on hwy 9. Sorry dont know the address. They usually have a good selection of tires. They also mount and balance them.

Appreciate the replies. I am currently at two brothers in Lawrenceville. Other side of town but good pricing, good enough I replaced the front also. All they do is motorcycle tires. Got the Michelin PR2's. After a short ride on some low speed twisty industrial park roads all I can say its I love the turn in and stability when leaned over. Night and day from the M3's that were on here. I am very pleased so far.

Update, since I was down around Atlanta I had to at least go hit the mountains on my way back to Virginia. I rode to Dahlonega then took hwy 52 to 60 rode that up to Suches. Apparently TWO is closed up. Shame really. Took 180 over to 129. On the back side of the mountains the roads had significant wet patches. The PR2's worked beautifully through all conditions. 180 has a really tight twisty section that is just a joy to ride hard.

From there 129 up to where 180 splits off again then on to Richard B Russell. This might be my favorite road in Georgia. Also I love how the RC handles now. I wish it was possible to ride this road everyday. From there Hwy 75 over to helen and up 17.

17 is short but the climb has one of the deepest banked, 2 full lanes (passing lane here) wide, S curve I've ever seen on a public road. It's beautiful. Definitely a gravity changer and hero maker if you nail it correctly. Always puts a smile on my face.

After that it was 76 over into South Carolina (lots of high speed sweepers) and then on to the house. Overall a 12 hour day on the bike. New tires are great.

Great sounding ride! Different direction from my favorite, which is staying on 60 from Suches through Morgantown, then it becomes 68 in TN and rolls all the way to Cherohala Skyway. Can even take 129 after the Skyway to Deals Gap if you're so inclined. Or turn right at the crossroads and go down 28. Even more fun than The Gap, IMO.
Might do some of that tomorrow, in fact.

Holy Iron Butt...
After 1 hour of highway riding, I'm ready to give it up. Sounds like you're a die-hard. The RC deserves an owner like you!

Iron butt? Hardly. Just too stupid to know any better. I just really love the way this bike rides. The seat is another issue entirely. But I managed to suffer through it. Worth it IMO.
