Default Turnone Airbox

Considering getting a Turnone Airbox for my SP2

I see there is an all carbon version and a carbon / GRP version. I assume the only difference is the carbon one is slightly lighter but is it by much and noticeable ?

NO,not noticeable! both versions are a huge upgrade over the stock heavy airbox, go for the cheapest version. This saves you money for your needed power commander.

Hi tuurio thanks for the reply which confirms excatly what I was thinking.

The question it does raise in my mind though is, why if there is no weight gain or performance gain from the all carbon airbox over the carbon / GRP airbox why does it exsist seeing as it costs $120 more is it purely the bling factor ?

There's not really a bling factor as you can't see the airbox from the outside.
If money is no problem, buy a carbon there is a slight weight gain and every gram of weight saving will count.
Maybe the carbon version is a little stronger.
But the grp/carbon is reinforced where needed with carbon layers.(around the throttlebody holes and sidewalls).
Maybe Brett can chime in and tell you the weight difference between the 2 versions.

You can contact Brett on here (Turnone)
You can contact scott who sometimes has a few in stock
Honda, RC51, SP1, SP2, Carbon, Airbox, with, Filter

or sometimes brett has some on ebay. Just type in Turnone. Doesn't look like he has any for sale right now.
