new air filters

I just put in my K&N air filters on my 01 RC and its running like crap!!!! I have been told the only way to get it to run right is to buy the Power Commander is there any way around buying it??? I have micron pipes and now k&n air filters do I need the power commander??

You need to toss the K&N's in the scrap pile and put the Honda stock ones back on

K&N are the wrong mod, they do no good and only hinder the RC 51

NO, use the stock filters!!!!!!! If you want to get really crazy you can do the filter mod here http://www.rc51.org/airf.htm. And while you are there read the article here http://www.rc51.org/ look for the "Aftermarket high flow air filters" in the comprehensive listing.
