Hi,

found the company which produces the analog rev counter for HRC.
It´s NIPPON SEIKI.
If someone have contacts to Japan and could manage a deal with N.S.
i would be very happy!!!
Of course i pay for everything and the time!!!

You might give Simon a ring. I don't know if he can help, but it's worth a shot. Speedzilla Motorcycle Message Forums - View Profile: simonkobe

Finding exactly the same rev counter may be difficult as it's unlikely to still be in production. You could use a Defi rev counter though. Defi make excellent gauges and it's parent company is Nippon Seiki (Which is owned by Honda). Some used ones are sometimes available:

This one would need a controller which is just a small box.

& another (White face) inclusive of the controller:

1st one's smaller (80mm diameter) than the 2nd which is 120mm diameter.

This one has a shift light which could be incorporated into your dashboard:

They're all discontinued models, but parts are available used - in Japan.
These are mostly used for cars, but can easily be used on a bike too.
Can be sent for 2 cylinders, no problem.
Also has an adjustable warning light (which can be used as a shift indicator).

Probably better than the original you're after and looks kinda similar too.

Looks like the oem rpm meters in the RVF bikes. What kind of coin you looking to spend?

Hi,

thanks for the answers!

The rev counter is discontuned at HRC...
It isn't the oem one of the RC45.
If someone knows where to get one please keep me informed...

Another one wouldn't fit to my bike...
It has to be this one...

Many thanks

Why go this route to begin with?
Wouldn't it make sense to get an aftermarket dash instead?

Based on his build pics, I'd say it's safe to assume he wants to build as much of an HRC replica as is possible. If I was going for something more advanced, this would be my choice: AiM Sports - The World Leader in Data Acquisition

Hi,

thanks for the tips but like Akilldema says,
I am nearly to complete my HRC replica.
I don't want to cut off my HRC wiring harness.
I like plug and play. Every HRC part which I own
fits perfect!
It would be a disaster to change the way
which HRC is gone... ;-)

The RS125 rev counter will fit into the wiring harness
but the scale is not usefull for me. Also I don't know
how much signals the RS125 sends to the rev counter.
But I will check the RC45 one. This could be a chance...

Regards

Thats beatuiful! I need to get myself one, do you know if they have any more? Also if you dont mind me asking, how much did you get it for?

The RS125 tach's go to the same 14k rev limit and look Identical so I have been thinking about picking one of those up since they're more readily available for far less $$$. Im going to need to modify the wiring/plug to mate with the modified OEM harness anyways, so I'd rather hack up a less expensive unit to do it to if it looks and functions the same.

Did you get the HRC ECU with your HRC harness?

Hi Jason!

I am sorry to say that it is the last one.
My dealer checked HRC Europe and I checked HRC Japan and USA.
No way... I defenetly got the last one.

I checked the option to use a RS125 tachometer.
The wiring shouldn't be the problem but I didn't know the impulses which it need to work...
By the way,you are right, the RS tachometer is much less expensive than the RC tach.

Yes I have the HRC full racer harness, ECU and tuner.

I sent you a pm for prices.

Regards

Save yourself the trouble and just pick up a SPA unit. They are nearly identical in looks, both use stepper motors, plus the SPA allows you to monitor 2 inputs.
