Default Front Disc Covers...??

Rant away, flame away.

What exactly do they do? I've seen them thoughout the years on race bikes. I specifically remember the ZX-7 Scott Russell WSB machine had lime green brake disc covers for some reason. I thought it might have been a wet race. Also i think i saw a Repsol Honda of Pedrosa recently sporting them. what gives.?

Cold days\cold air... these help with keeping the HEAT Up, on the brake pads and rotors. There was a time where the carbon disc&carbon pads HAD to have Alot of heat to make them even work any good...
However, I don't know if this is the case anymore with todays goods.

I Hope this Helps and I haven't lead you completely astray..

Peace
