as in evan's performance. race car stuff, no relation to evan's cooling.

oem brackets won't work on these

and for a more detailed report yesterday i was out driving at at the strip. 95+ degrees all day. with the fairings on and the clutch side fan (spal) only, it would heat up sitting and idling, took it about 2 minutes to get up to 224 degrees from 219. started cruising at 35mph, and in less than 500 feet the bike had cooled off 10 degrees, roughly 1000 feet and it was back down to 200 degrees. tried this again except going 55 and it was down from 225 to 211 in about 500 feet. also driving in the pits at 12 mph (they're really strict on the 10mph rule) the bike heated up to 219, fan kicked on and it went to 217 then never got any hotter.

so it no longer requires getting up to speed to cool it off between stop lights

superhawk blades on rc51

I have been reading all that I could find concerning cooling fan swaps for the rc51. I bought 2 superhawk fan blades from partzilla ( part # 19020-MBB-003) to reverse my air flow as discussed in the forum threads. When I got my new blades I pulled my radiator to swap them out, and SURPRISE, they're WAY too big. So back they go, and I re-assemble my scoot. If nothing else it was a good opportunity to swap out/ flush my coolant. I hope I can save someone else from this mess.
