Default Bolt for frame sliders.....I NEED HELP!

I was attempting to install the sliders for the bike when I discovered the bolt is too short!!!!!

In fact does not look like these are made to fit into the recessed hole on the throttle side? Could I have the wrong ones? Looks like the bolt is about 2in. short.....

Can someone help me? or know of a place that sells simalar bolts...

Who made the sliders? SP1 or SP2. I have the R&G Sliders for my SP1 and their perfect. I did install it incorrectly at first which made me think the bolts were too short; but when I figured everything out, it all worked out perfectly.

They came with the bike. They were not on the bike they were in a box and not packaged....

It looks as though one of them is supposed to fit into the hole where the bolt goes thru on the throttle side under radiator but the slider body is too large for it....I can make it fit with some grinding but that would be the last on the list.

What did you do to get yours to fit? There is one longer one and one shorter one. I assumed the longer one goes on the clutch side and the shorter the throttle side...am I mistaken? I tried switching them around and nothing improved. Could someone take a close up pic of both sides? maybe I'll see my mistake.

Mrgrn just had the same problem a while back, never heard any out come mind you. You may have the wrong bolt for the model year depending on who made your kit. Search his thread and you'll see the pics you need. Or here I found the link http://www.speedzilla.com/forums/rc5...-pix-help.html

Thanks for the link! It did not help but it is similar to what I have accept I don't have the funky lookin hardware....Just a bolt, nut and sliders.

Is the slider that fits on the throttle side supposed to fit into the hole fed from the bolt?

If so then that is my problem then cuz this one won't fit. I could gain another 1.25 inches if I could fit it in there.

Seems like a technical question to me.

What is the difference? The bolt that I have for the sliders measures 13.75 inches from bottom of fixed nut and end of bolt? Are these the wrong sliders?
