Default kneedraggers.com dragging their feet

ive spent the last week (wednesday) waiting for a tire to come from kneedraggers. it may actually be here by friday... might not sound so bad except the site says metzlers "usually" ship within a day, and i paid a few bucks extra for usps 2-3 day hoping it could have been available on saturday. to start with they said the credit card address didnt match, which they cleared up the very next morning, bullcrap it was the correct address. then they said the tire had to come from somewhere else then to me. it wasnt an option to dropship either.

point being to be careful if you expect any time sensitive orders from them. this is the second and last time i will make this mistake with them.

Paying for 2-3 day shipping doesn't mean you get it in 2-3 days. Ironically, it means you will get it 2-3 days from the time they ship it. Most places, if you read the small print, will state it might take a few days until your order is received, processed and finally prepared for shipping.

It's almost a scam, to me, but it's a reality in the internet buying world.

Ron Ayers works the same way.... I've ordered from them and not gotten my order in 2 weeks. Their site clearly states the shipping times do not include order processing time.

Small places like Yoyodyne ship the same day if it's in stock, as does Absolute Tire and Performance, and Street and Competition. I order tires from both of them at 11am, and have them, FedEx, the next day, at 2pm.......

Granted, they're in NJ, and I'm in PA, but they truely ship the same day.

kneedraggers, while a good company can be frustrating. the biggest issue is they keep their overhead VERY low. they do NOT keep things in stock, and everything for the most part is usually drop shipped from the distributor to THEIR door, then they turn around and ship to you. with that being said, since im in MD and their in DE, i've gotten some very fast turn around times. even using ground shipping.

I have been using kneedraggers for about three years, mostly for small items. I have no real complaints with their service or prices. I know they drop ship, but not directly to the customer which adds a stop. If you know that, then there is no issue.

Well, Ron Ayers is not much better. Just this morning I get an e-mail from them stating they are having a sale on Metzler Racetecs K1 and K2 compounds in a 190 rear @ $100.00 apiece. I immediately go to their website, and there they are, listed as being on sale. What a great price, I think, so I order three for $300.00.

Two hours later I get an email from them saying they ran out of the tires and my order would be cancelled. This is after I ordered them right when the e-mail came.

The impression I get is that they either (A) didn't have 'em to begin with and were just trying to drum up web traffic or (B) they were pulling the ol' bait-and-switch, had a couple of tires left and blew them out in hopes that people would buy something else as a substitute. Either way, a lousy way of doing business.

If you don't have the merchandise, don't do a mass e-mailer. It's unprofessional and a complete time waster.

Per Federal law any item mail ordered the company must give a estimated ship date, and if they did not meet that date they must notify you.
