Default 12K maintenance

I have a 2001 RC51 ...I need help with the following:

- How to change out my chain and sprockets

- How to remove the front wheel to switch it out

- Where the spark plugs are located

- How to change out the air filter

I had the clutch fluid done, flushed out the radiator and the brakes will be done as well .........Do you guys have any other suggestions as to what else I should do?
Thanks for any and all help!

If you don't know where the spark plugs you probably shouldn't do it yourself.

Download the Service manual and print it out at school or home.

The manual will not walk you through every little baby step, some mechanical knowledge is needed. If anything ask a buddy for some help that has some mechanical knowledge if you have never torn into anything. Everyone needs to start somewhere

There are volumes of help available to you from this forum via the search button. I'd be willing to bet that 98% of all your questions have been discussed (probably several times) before!

Eric,

These are all pretty basic, mechainical services. You need to buy a manual for your bike and read it. Between here and RC51.org, you should be able to find most, if not all of this information.

Quality tools should be included as well. If I find out you're using a phillips screwdriver and a hammer to undo a castle nut, I'm coming to your house and kicking your ass...................

Welcome and good luck.

Do you have someone who could help you? It's nice to learn and do things yourself but can you trust yourself enough to mess with the front tire. A manual is the best thing I bought for my rc-51. Look on e-bay they are pretty cheap.
