Not exactly what I would recomend for veiwing. That was interesting though and I didn't see anyone really eat it. However that leads to the question how many of those guys make it a year without wrecking. If I had a choice I wouldn't let anyone that doesn't ride see that video. It reflects poorly on most ridders who don't ride on the wrong side of the road (excluding the Brits). Then again your in a different country and different views are at play. Here in the states the vid would viewed as extremely reckless. Worse yet you have always been a very civil person and its reflects poorly on you as well. Like I said diffent part of the world.

Yeah, you are probably right about that. Some of the fine points of that video that I can relate to: wheelie attempts on inline fours, doubling the speed limit and then some from time to time, pretending the street is a track, and I have passed a few cars on exit ramps. But that is all in the past now and I swear I will never do it again. I swear

hi guys.

that videos was a clip taken over the years of the scene considered the best by the guy who make the video. it does not represent the whole malaysian biking community and does not mean that everybody ride like that. As far as i know the number of accident along that road was very very low. its a private road (except for the a few scene) where there is not so many cars especially every sunday morning. One of the accident scene was taken on the track actually.(Batu 3 Track). Most of the time they rode within their own pace (speeding yes..but in a control environment).

I am guilty as well cause sometimes i drag my knee, sometimes i am speeding too but i am more into track now and never missed one since my accident. i am a track addict now .

The positive truth: That is a cool vid! You guys look like you had lots of fun. I took a trip up to Genting last Aug and last month, and I always wished I was on a bike. In fact the Aug trip was on a Sunday, and I saw a whole bunch of you on your way down.

The negative truth: That kind of riding is dangerous. Yes, I've done that in my time, but now I leave it all for the race track.

I've attached some pictures of when I was at Batu Tiga in Nov '99, in the Hong Kong Superbike support race. I had fastest lap and pole position, but still managed to come in 2nd.

The crowd were REALLY cool, and they contributed to a really wonderful atmosphere. I nearly high-sided coming onto the start/finish (ended up sitting on the tank), and all I can remember is how loud the crowd was roaring because my friend took the opportunity to overtake, and so we exchanged leads for the 4th time in the 10 lap race! Its a real shame that it has since been demolished. What are they planning to build on there?

Ride safe my friend!

The only different between that video and a trackday is actualy instructors with neon vests

AARRGGHHH!!! Idiots!

Reminds me of the song "Big Yellow Taxi", where it goes "they paved paradise, and put up a parking lot". Batu Tiga was one of the few real "bike" tracks around. The other one I've been on is Oulton Park in the UK. All the tracks I drive now pale in comparison (Shanghai, Zhuhai, and Sepang).
