Anyone heading to Daytona from south Florida? love to ride up with about 50 RC'S....

Im Thinking About It, Im In Ri. Me And A Few Freinds Mite Go Down But If We Go I Think We Would Hang In Datona For A Day Or Two Then Ride To The Keys. Is There A Helmet Law In Florida?

There IS a helmet law. There is also a Helmet exemption in Florida. You must have a FL DL and show proof of both cycle and health insurance coverage. It is not widely enforced but last october in daytona alot of guys with out of state tags got popped. $250 dollar fine too.

I will be in Daytona the week before bike week (feb 24 - march 4). I would love to hook up with a local or 2 to see the "good" roads if there are any......

The only cool road is SR 100 that runs through the Ocala national forest but it is still flat and straight. Couple of neat passing lanes though! Anything with more than a 35 degree mern (merge-turn) is non-exhistent in these parts.

You need to go to the Clermont area to find the best curves around here. It's west of downtown orlando. Its no dragons tail or anything, but at least there are some curves and hills.

Clermont is cool but it's almost 2 1/2 solid hours west of daytona so most people won't want to go that far off course

You gotta roll with me, Ive been rollin with a few guys from Orlando,Tampa,St Pete and Clearwater that like to ride and know some GOOD roads with curves.

Theres a south run going towards point 6 thats nice.
