exhaust question

I would like to know if it necessary to install a power commander with slip-ons.
Will ther be much of a performance inprovement with just slip-ons? Will my bike still run smooth with just slip-ons or will the fuel mapping be way off.

Yes, I did a search and did'nt find a good answer.

Most slip-ons will run just fine without a power commander, especially if they have street baffles. A power commander is not always necessary, but is sweet.

I wouldn't say "necessary", but it can't hurt. A stock RC with a PC3 and a good map can make a good bit of difference.

Definitely not necessary i ran my aratas without a pc for a few weeks the bike popped a little but was definitely better and faster. It really woke up when I added a PC3r and a DK map it runs really smooth too. The PC is definitely worth the money.

i was told that a power commander without a set of pipes would still help you. how much i dont know.
