Question Honestly, are Sato's worth the extra money?

Ok, I know they make the most power but is the couple extra HP worth the extra money? I can get pipes for fairly reasonable costs but the Satos are 3-4 hundred more than any other. I am putting my wrecked bike back together and the extra money would help. So what is you honest opinion, with a budget in mind. I have the money so I can get them but I don't want to waste just for the cool factor. I think that money would be put to better use if I put it torwards wheels.

Thanks for the offer, I work in the industry so I should be good. So they are that much better than any other pipe?

Ok, here is my other dilemma. I think the spring setup looks goofy. I know it is just personal preference but the look of the Satos does nothing for me. Would I be giving up more than a couple HP?

If it's looks your going for, chrome your stockers.

But seriously, my first set of pipes were carbon-fiber Jardines. Burnt a hole in the right side muffler after about 3k miles just to save a few dollars.

Ended up getting the Satos after that. The quality & customer support of the Satos are worth every penny.

If you were local I'd let you try them out, as they sitting in my garage, unmounted, collecting dust.

Jardine and Acro spent big money to be on those bikes.

Also, the only thing that was Jardine on the AMA bikes was the canisters.

Either way, pipes on factory Hondas are hand built HRC parts, regardless of who gets to put their logo on them.

The AMA Factory RC51's used Akra exhausts built to HRC specs with Jardine badges put on the cannisters. This is not speculation or heresay this is fact.

There were some Jardine carbon cannisters put into use early on during the first year & they literally disintegrated while on the bike.

The exhaust companies pay the factory teams to use their products or likeness in the form of decals not the other way around...

Sato Racing made an exhaust designed to get the highest gains possible from a stock motor they don't need to fool the coffee table experts into thinking their product is better than it is by paying a factory team to use their logo. They get their business through proven means with real customers
