I like to keep 8 quarts of oil in her at a minnimum just to avoid that very problem. Half synthetic and half regular, with a shot of rum as well.

Hope this helps

Oh yah around here the "Cool Guys" would never do anything so crass as pull a wheelie.. Get off your high horses people you know your just jeleous.. heres a 3 up pic for ya

few things to be in "Good Terms" with most people in the forum.

1. Never ask questions about wheelies people hate it I personaly dont care and do them but just dont ask

2. Always be prepared to be flamed for what ever you ask and dont be offended

thats pretty much it for now and I am pretty sure it will be starved for oil as its not ment for wheelies, and if your doing a wheelie for that long you dont want an RC because it heavy as chit you should get a liter bike or the new 600 for stunting as the RC rather likes to stay on 2 wheels.

oh and SP2Piolot will flame you till the very end so just be prepared

Were any bikes designed to do wheelies?

You have a right to do what you want with your bike and your life. However, it is really hard to stop with your front wheel off the ground. End result, higher insurance rates for the rest of us. I don't wish that result on anyone, but they are putting themselves at risk by doing it, so if it does happen, no mercy here.

that's why ducati insurance is so cheap! They can't do wheelies!

Stunting and being a squid are seperate but usually related phenomenom. Ignore the fun haters.. Wheelies are like masterbating: big smiles and fun to perfect your craft, but not a good idea(or publicly acceptable) in front of crowds or even single police.. Everyones doing it, and everyone thinks you'll go to hell for it, too..

Regardless, RCs can and do pull (unintentional of course)wheelies with out ill. I've heard Ducs tend to puke oil out the front air intakes during extended monos. The crank breather fouls and send oil up the hose to the airbox.
I found a disturbing amount of oil in my RCs airbox during filter changes. When I track prepped the RC I noticed oil mist coming out the breather hose and would accumulate a bit in the catch bottle.. I revised my breather hose routing, mounted the catch bottle in the tail, and modified the internal breather mechanism built into the front valve cover.. A little mist may reach the catch, but no noticible accumulation..

I think Thorsten's oversize breather outlet is a godd idea, as twins push a lot of air under the pistons.. ??? Anyone tried a breather outlet on both valvecovers?? Any reason we don't/can't put the vent on the rear cylinder ?? My only guess would be more oilmist/air pumping issues.. Something like the old Gixxers pumping up and venting oil during high speed runs?
