Default Honda brings Deauville to US for 2010

Honda Reveals Two New 2010 Models: the Shadow Phantom and the NT700V

Honda wisely drops the French name.
Wonder how many Deauville parts are interchangeable with Hawk GTs?

The Deauville is insanely expensive. You can get an excellent second hand BMW RT for that money.
The bike is well made, it returns excellent fuel mileage but... its engine is the latest incarnation of the venerable 52° twin and it's much down on power and torque when compared to the excellent parallel twins from Kawasaki and BMW.
The bike gives a very smooth ride, it handles well but I cannot imagine what it must be overtaking when carrying a pillion.
The OE saddlebags are... well, too small. To get more carrying capacity you need to fork out more money for the larger shells (300€).
No adjustable windscreen (more $$$ or €€€ if you want a different one), no belly pan (more $$$), no power outlet as stock (80 € optional)...
In the end a nice little bike but hopelessly overpriced and underpowered.
