Default Jet kits?

What do stage 1 & 2 jet kits do, and are they a good thing for a non racer?

I only use Factory jet kits. The 1.0 kit is designed for use with the stock airbox and either the stock exhaust or a full exhaust. The 3.0 kit is designed for use with pod-type air filters, Uni foam filters work best. Properly jetted a Hawk with Uni pod filters will make about 3hp more than with the stock airbox.

Well i use a k&n air filter and a full m4 exhaust, so does that mean that i should use different jets? Or are the stock ones just fine?

You definitely need a jet kit. Which K&N, the stock replacement? Are you running a lid on the airbox, or?

It does not look like the stock air filter, and yes i'm using the lid. Which jet kit do i use, the stage 1 or 2? Are they difficult to install?

You need the 1.0 kit for the stock ab. Not too hard to install, just basic mechanical knowledge not a degree in rocket science.

I can't say I'm 100% sure, but I believe the carbs are exactly the same and the kits should drop right in.
