Default Front end swaps

I'm new to the Hawk scene. Just picked up a 90 with M4 std exhaust and Fox twin clicker. Ive had a few more perf bikes like gsxrs,a ninja 900,old duc, a 916, a RC51. But i had to always get rid of them for family reasons. Now I have a Hawk and would like to start modding to get a good handler. I have been checking out the frt end swaps. I guess the F2 was the swap of choice before. But now I see 929,RC51 etc. Is there any that could be done and still retain the stock speedo? I lke the idea of keeping it. I saw a pic of a F2 swap and saw a speeo cable . Maybe a thinner drive has to be used? Any advice

F3's use an electric pickup for the Speedo. (In the transmission? )
I've got an F2 front end - works great. Gixxer front ends are also swapabble, -just measure carefully first. 41mm in the triples.

This needs to be confirmed but I think the F3 innards plus tube will fit into the Hawk lowers. This keeps the original Hawk look, you then could add a Steve Lenac Caliper conversion.

I ended up keeping the modified front end on and putting on the Steve Lenac caliper adapter kit. SWEET!!!! now to put on the braided line to get the full benefit. Just added the Napoleon TT mirrors. Nice view of rear. Now for paint and I'm done!!
