Mine = 1989
I've had my Hawk about 8 weeks; 3200 original miles, now at about 4600. Replaced the original tires, changed oil and filter, new bulb and new turn signal relay.

I've owned six Hawk GT's so far. I love them when I have them, and love to sell them for something else. They keep finding their way back, though!
'88 Grey (for now...)

1990, M4, jet kit, emulators, Fox, Corbin, Targa, steel front brake line, 6 pot Tokico caliper, Diablos, a few nicks and 22,500 miles. Gets about as much use as my 900SS. That may change in March with an '06 FZ-1 on the way...

I don't actually own one. One of my friends has an '88 with Ohlins, Mike Velasco Racing Pipe, Telefix clip ons, etc. The other has an '89 with NOS tank and rear cowling.
I ride and work on them often. Cool bikes.

future owner?
I'm currently looking at a couple of Hawk's. The Hawk GT was the first street bike that I really wanted. I've always said I'd like to pick one up.

2 here, 1 with full RC30 bodywork, F2 front, 1mm over je pistons, Mega Cycle X8 cams, ported and polished head, valve job, hd valve springs, Pro Tech rear sets and clip ons, Super Trapp exhaust and a bunch of other shit.
Oh yeah....forgot about the busted con rod and the damage that did.
The other hawk is just a rolling parts bike with a rusted motor (sat in a friends back yard for quite some time).
I'm going to rebuild the race Hawk one of these days.....we, at leaste I keep telling myself that.

88 Hawk blue mostly stock.
I am planning on upgrading the suspension, front and back. This is my first bike, nothing like starting with a keeper like a Hawk! For the front I am chasing a deal on some used F3 forks to get the cartridges and either a Penkse sport shock or a Wilbers for the rear. Maybe next year a M4 exhaust.
Glad to be here. Cheers to the Hawk riders!
I ride the Memphis area (jealous of those who have twisties in their backyard)

Greetings to all.
Question for .. PG-1 and Mr3436 in refernce to your front forks implants.
What is involved with cost, time, effort ?
Thank you for your input.

I had one before.
A blue 1989 I believed. In almost NEW and perfect condition with 5k on it in 2000 after I slapped a new clutch into it because the previous owner had no clue how to used it properly.
Ran like a top and looks so sweet.
My true first love into the world of motorcycling.
I highly regretted selling it(more so than any Ducs or race replicas..748s and Gixxer750 to name a few) but it did go to a good home.
I now ride with a fellow rider with a blue mod NT650(929 front, VFR rear, Fox shock,SV lights among other mods)..he keep looking at my RC and I keep looking at his Hawk. Sooner or later we are swapping bikes

Can I change my vote now? I just bought a 1989 Hawk today so I'm no longer a future owner.
