Thank you for your input.
Mine is a stock CBR1000RR 2004. It takes 5 minutes to swap, and 5 more minutes to take some mm of the "steering stop" on the frame.
Incredibly easy. Bearings are the same as stock Hawk, but the fork is about 20 mm shorter than stock.

Default My $0.02

My 89 red was stock when I got it 7yrs ago. My first bike. Being mechanical, I like to tweak it. People still ask me if it is a new model just released. Love it, will never sell it.

Default '88 Hawk Owner

Hello,

New to posting but have been reading all the Hawk stuff for a few months now. Picked up a stock 88 Hawk recently and love it. It is my second bike from a Suzuki RF600 and have to say I love the V-twin feel even though it has much less Hp.

The bike has 24,000 miles but runs great. Any suggestions on what I should be looking out for or replace with a NT 650 with this type of miles? Have done some of the obvious stuff already but am interested in what you all think.

It is a BITUBO from italy. But I have taken it from a CBR600. Revalved it and put on a WP spring. It also was changed where it fit to the rear arm. It is a big job, but that is what I like to do,so!! Last night I took the wheels, fork and brakes from the red one and put it on the blue. It is much better with the 120/17 front tire and shorter fork.
