I just Changed the front Sprocket in my 2001 750, and it seems that the clutch is not working right, is there an adjustment that i need to do to make it right?????? please help ????????
your sprocket has nothing to do with your clutch but yes there is an adjustment you can make... on the clutch perch there is a round metal adjuster that allows you to adjust cable play.. adjust that so you have a few mm of play then on the left side clutch cover there is a rubber cap.. remove it and you should see a screw/nut combo.. undo the nut so the screw can turn easily and adjust it to where you feel resistance then back off 1/4 turn and tighten the nut... test it by putting the bike on a rear stand.. put the bike in first gear and pull the clutch lever in.. while holding the clutch lever in see if you can spin the rear wheel... it wont spin fast but if you can get it to roll then the clutch is dissengaged and you can play with the feel and adjustment to suit your needs...
