Default New Owner 07 GSXR 750

Sold the RC51 and will take delivery of a new 07 GSXR750 next weekend. Thanks Monterey Sportcenter!!!! Trying to figure out what my username at Gixxer.com is. It's been 6 years since I owned a gixxer. Anyways just wanted to say hello!!

My first mod's will be slip-on's(Yosh maybe?), PCIII or Yosh EMS, clip-ons, rearsets, R1 throttle mod, and I haven't researched if my 175 lbs without gear is good for the stock suspension. Hopefully I'll get it out to the track by the end of this year or early next year!!!

Anthony

Welcome back!

Nice color combo I came within a minute of getting the exact bike but went with the better price deal a leftover '06 Silver/Black GSX-R1000. It is my 6th GSXR and lost count as to what nymber Suzuki it is. After riding the 1000 a few times I wish I had went with the 750, the 1000 IMO is too much bike.

I went with a race mount M4 slip-on with TI can and TI mid pipe. I don't have it on yet but I've had seven M4 systems in the past and they all sounded/performed great! Stock suspension on the newer bikes is pretty good but that is where it stops. Ohlins or Penske out back and re-valve, re-spring the front forks with Ohlins internals or Penske internals.

Yosh makes a nice selection of slip-ons for the 06. i had a Cyclone on mine from Yosh, Japan. very cool. add a BMC race filter to the pipe, PCIII and yank the SET valve and it should be good for a 12hp gain. see www.fuelmotousa.com for all this stuff. e-mail Jamie at fuelmoto@yahoo.com. he knows his stuff in regards to the PCIII and has a ton of custom maps in his data base.
good luck.

Thanks!! Did a few searches on the different exhausts. Not many keep the oem look. The majority of them have the standard mount style

only a few have been able to pull the shorty look off. don't know why. Yosh has shown pics of an R-55 pipe that is sweet but it's been in R&D since at least April of 06. they say it will be out in Feb. but that would be like the 3rd release date.
i had a ti M4 on my bike initially and liked it. i feel it's the best looking of the short pipes and it is light. 4.5lbs compared to the 14.2 of the stocker. i then swapped to a Yosh Cyclone. the Yosh pipe flowed better and dyno'd out at 2 more hp. not huge but i liked the pipe better.
check fuel moto's site for the Yosh stuff. i got my M4 direct from them. can't go wrong with either pipe IMO.

I have a Leo Vince Carbon/Ti on my 06 GSXR750. 2nd best sounding pipe at the track. I have to give it up to the twin pipe Lazer from Germany. This pipe rocks and rocks hard. One of my friends has the Lazer on his and without exception, everyone says it screams. Its definitely a race can though. No way to use it on the street at those DB's
