2004 gsx-r 740 question

so a friend of a friend has an 04 750 with 4k miles on it. wants to get rid of it for $6200 (asking price). i really dont know if this is a good deal or not but it sounds like it is...... little advice please. thanks

Sounds like a real good deal to me. $6200 for an 04 750 isnt bad at all. Ive seen em go for up to $7200, especially with that kind of low mileage.

went to look at the bike today. its got a yoshi. pipe and a power commander. owner wanted to change the gas (been sitting for a few months) and lube the chain, so i'm going to ride it hopefully thursday before the rain hits. starts fine, revs fine, clutch feels good, all the lights work. it does look like its been dropped in the garage on BOTH sides though. the frame sliders are scuffed slightly on the bottoms, the right fairing has a SLIGHT scuff on it (i can wet-sand and buff the thing out) and the pipe has a slight dent (slight meaning an oval about 1/4 of an inch is barely flat).

1 more thing to add- KBB put a value on this around 7 grand, like i said, the kid doesnt want to make any money for some reason, so you know 6200 it up from what he needs to get for it.
