Hi all ,

I have just bought gsxr1000 k6 last saturday ,am in middle of putting 600 miles on her before friday when she is booked in for 1st service ! my question is when replacing the can + link pipe do i get an exhaust that retains or loses the exhaust servo ??
I have been told that with out the servo around town "gets jerky " is that true

Help ??

With a GOOD exhaust & a proper PCIII mapping you will get a smoother throttle response & more power throughout the entire rev range when you lose the servo. Some crappy exhaust brands might give a jerky response or hesitation etc, but the Sato works flawlessly.

cheers LDH,

i have looked in the www.rogueracing.org site but most of the links seem to be down

Have you done any work with the yoshi tro oval ? and will it need a pc3 straight away ? ( money is tight at mo )

Cheers for the help .

1. The PCIII is way more important than any choice of exhaust. Get the Powercommander first if you have to make a decision.

2. Give me another week once I get back from the MotoGP round at Laguna & I will get all the GSXR links posted up.

3. I have not had any of the Yoshi systems for the K5/K6 on the dyno yet, but I did install a slip-on for a guy a couple weeks ago. The Suzuki squids go all goo-goo over the Yoshi stuff, but it is really just not that great of a product. I would rate it as average at best in terms of both build quality & performance.

Cheers for the info,

I say yoshi because all the main dealers push it in the UK and e-bay seems to be full with them, haven't seen sato's for the gsxr1000 yet so will have google and look at prices.

Any how will look at the pc3 1st .........

cheers neil.

The Arata exhaust is the best I'v seen but we are using a Yosh to save $$$, If you use the TEKA Hardware from Factory Pro, you will not need to buy a Power Comander. The TEKA allows you to remap the stock computer across the rev range it will save you about $300.
