Default '06 SM610S First Impression

Pros
  • Looks great!
  • Awesome brakes!
  • Smooth (for a thumper).
  • Good power. It feels about the same as an LC4.
  • Great suspension! I still haven't ridden it hard, but it feels perfect.
Cons (minor nitpicks)
  • Stock mirrors (fixed).
  • Emissions crap is ugly (will be fixed).
  • Auto-retract sidestand (fixed).
  • Separate key for the fuel tank.
  • Already rattled a bolt off on the exhaust heat shield.
  • Seat sucks.

Thanks for the review Dave. There are no dealers here in VA, what kind of deal did your dealer work out with you, and do you think he would ship?

He ships Huskys all over the country. He got two 610s in the first shipment, mine, and another one that was shipped to FL.

Not a lot of dealing going on a bike in high demand, but he will work with you to some extent.

Thanks Chef!

It's a sweet machine.

The red & white photo came directly from Husky, it looks like it's a sure thing. Maybe you'll be able to swap out the plastics when they become available.

Thats fine, especially with a 60hp dyno graph to accompany it.
Who's the US distributor that can get one?
