Default Anyone left here races Land Of Lincoln?

I'm looking for suggestions on gearing a 2001 YZ426f with 17s on it for Midstate Kart Club. I just put it back together after crashing it at a trackday on GIR. Waaayy undergeared, even at 15-41 I'm betting that combo might be a bit excessive for Midstate

I live in IL Granite city. I have ran two trackdays at Gateway with the big bikes on my 610 Husky.

Default I guess you had the clear tank on your bike right.

I actually stopped by and talked to you for abit. I think at that time you where in the novice class I think. I remember a yamaha having a crash later. There was also another husky there with stock pipe etc..........with a bigger rider on it. One of my buddys Jerry davidson was a control rider and told me you had crashed. Guess he figured since I was on a motard I needed to know. LOL Hope you got your bike fixed up and your OK. I was out last sunday on the river road and came across JIM the guy that rides the black and blue 550 motard. That bike is fast. Was running 12.27 1/4 mile times at gateway earlier in the year. Says it is stock. I kind of question that. My roadstar has 98.6HP and 111TQ. And I didn't pull from him tell we hit 100 mph then my patrick racing cams took over...........But what the heck those aprillias get it on.

Yup, clear Clarke oversized tank. The stocker I got in the deal was actually cracked around the top. I like the clear better since I don't have a fuel gauge....or reserve

The bike and I fared pretty well. Bent bars, tweeked subframe and a ground down footpeg on the bike. I had a pretty massive bruise on my arm, but nothing else really. The bike was back up and ready for action about a week later.

Interesting on the 550. They do scoot!

Probably not. It's very likely I'll be getting off work at midnight the night before, after a 12 hour shift.

Default I have not paid any money.

If I go it will be done when I get there. I have a 13.1 piston installed now. Bike seems to pull harder not by much though. what kind of top end does that 426 have.

Top end as in MPH? Dunno yet. the 15-41 figured out to around 96mph at 10,600 RPM, which should be the rev limiter in the CDI unit I have(previous owner went with a WR unit, which loses me about 800 rpm off the top from a YZ unit). It pulled up to that pretty smartly around GIR, and I was on the rev limiter in top gear by the start finish line.

Default The sm610 only pulls to 8200 before riv limiter.

On the street it will pull to 103-104 mph before hitting riv limiter in 6th. I have never saw that at the track 96--98 mph on the straight away. The husky 450 and 510 riv to like 10,200 they are the race bikes.
