Default Cool Pic!

Awesome pic Randy!

So do you catch air on your other bike on that part of the track?

I jumped my RC there a couple of times the day (bigger air and faster) before I rode the Hyper just to make sure not to hurt it. Hell if my BST's on the pig can withstand the bunny hop, I knew the Duc would.

Normally its a uphill, hard tight left into a downhill sweeper right in T5 aka Cyclone at THill.

I'm still grinnin everytime I think about riding that bike! I have SERIOUS Motard envy!!!!!

I thought you had to use the curbing to get air, now I'm more impressed.

LOL Hoov I did use the curb, about 3-4 inches inside the track.

But you can still be impressed if you want!

There is a track in Michigan you can get air on before turn 5 (Grattan). I didn't get air there but I saw people doing it. I would brake before the hump, release, then get back on the brakes before the corner. I guess I was just too much of a woosey to get the air and leave the braking for after touch-down. My laptimes were good, but I guess I could still shave time in that section.

I know the hump you are talking about at grattan. It is a rush getting air over that hill then trying to get slowed down enough to make the corner. I saw many yard sales taking place out there during the races.

What are good lap times at grattan now days? I haven't run there since I got out of the big bike racing back in the early 90's. back in the day, I was running in the 1:24 sec range on a 92' TZ250. At the time, that was just a click off the lap record. I am sure the record is much lower these days.

It is cool that that particular place in the track is such a memorable part of the track layout.

Very nice pic but I've jumped my 500lb ZRX1100 higher than that...
