Default Where can I get an aluminum version of THIS

Two years ago I had an occasional drip-leak issue with my water pump cover. After two attempts to seal the leak, I finally replaced the water pump cover. I was told at the time that although it was a fix, it was a temporary one because the technician suspected both the crank cover and the water pump cover had a hairline crack. At teh time I coudl not afford a crank cover.
Well two years later, my I now have a leak from the exact spot, so needless to say i need a crank cover.

Where can I get an aluminum version of this:

IŽll have a look for it in my garage the next days.

Can you make a pic of the inside to see which alternator version you need?

I have a 2002 998 and finally found a used one from gotham.
Hoping its in mint condition, mine looks Mint but previous owner must have dropped bike causing a stress fracture.
After repeated attempts including buying a new water pump cover the coolant still leaks (2-4 drops a ride).

I have two of what you need.
One almost new and another that is usable but more cosmetically challenged.

PM me if you are interested.

The Mg one's are consumables. They don't last.

Default Magnesium

If it truly is magnesiun it is rare and consumable. They corrode badly inside the water pump housing.

Have Larry Machine it out (mildly dangerous), build it back up with Weld (Very Dangerous) and then have it recoated and you will be back in business.

I had one and sold it when I realized that while it was repairable it was not worth it unless it is part of an SPS or something similiar.

So, I just read back through the posts and I see you have a 2002 998?

Did the cover pictured come off of that? How did that work? That's a two phase, two pickup cover. I wouldn't think it would work on a Testastretta.
