Pierre, I would venture to say you have more miles on your Desmosedici than any bike here in the States. At least you ride it and I would say it would be difficult not to.
BTW, did you ever recover your 916? I also enjoy surfing around your website. I'll bet some of those structures/buildings in the background on some of your pictures are quite old. I recall having dinner one night at a cafe in Bologna and noticed a fairly good sized building next door because it appeared old due to the bricks it was made of. When someone said 1500 AD I almost fell out of my chair. Its amazing much of the stuff you see were built when we were in our infancy. That is a perspective I have learned to appreciate in my international travels and is a source of my one regret when I retire June 1st. My international travel opportunities will be greatly curtailed at that time. Sometimes we get a little cocky over here and fail to realize much of the civilized world was well established before we came to be. I'm sure having that kind of depth only time can create can only enrich a culture. Lets hope as we age we become more humble as well. We have done many good things with positive results, more than the negative ones for sure.

Sorry to hijack your thing.
I see on your pictures that you have an AGV "Ago" helmet. I have the same one. Do you know where I can find some visors for it in France? I have been trying avarywere but not managed. I am thinking about buying a new helmet just because that I can not find visors. Any advices.
Jocke.........

It is not me with the AGV Ago but a good friend of mine, the guy who created the largest classified ads website devoted to Ducati : Ducatannonces - Rechercher, acheter et vendre des Ducati d'occasion, motos et pièces
He helped finding my 998 S 6 years ago...
He recently bought a new AGV Titanium with Italian colors on it. I'll ask him for the visor...

Service in progress, it will be finished this afternoon.
I came this morning to Ducati Lyon to shoot a few pics, I'll also get the pics of the open heads shot by the technician.
My bike is 100% OK : valve clearance OK, rocker springs OK, clutch OK despite the "dragster experience", there is nothing special to say. I wonder : is it really a Ducati ?
I feel happy and a little bit lucky, and I'm ready for 12000 more kilometers on this fabulous bike

(more coming soon for showing the open heads)

Ducati Lyon technician had 15 hours to process the service properly and calmly... including a 30mn ride to check, on the road.

I watched one crash over the weekend. It was well-ridden and went out honorably at the track.
