Motorcycle Transporting
Anyone have any experience with this company?
MotorcycleMoving.Net - Affordable, safe and reliable motorcycle shipping
I just bought a 996s in CA and I'm exploring options on how to get it back to CO. The quote that company gave me was very reasonable so I'm hoping one of you has some experience with them. They do door to door which saves the seller the hassle of having to crate and drop it off somewhere.
Thanks for any input.

First off, congratulations on your purchase!
Secondly, there are a number of companies who are in this business. Might be a thought to ask them for references from their customers. Make sure you insure the bike for transit before they pick it up - just in case.

Not a huge distance. I'd just ride it. But if that's not your cup, pop this outfit a call for a quote. They only haul bikes. No crating, just good strapdown in trailers setup for bikes.

I originally wanted to make the inaugural ride a 1200 mile road trip back to CO. However, we just got nailed with a 16" spring blizzard here in Denver so crossing over the Rockies in the next week or two might not be a good idea )
Thanks for the reference Ducman - I'll shoot them an email and see what sorta quote they come back with.

I have used Forward Air to ship bikes I have sold. I used their crate. It is a metal crate that you put your bike in and you tie it down yourself, then you put your own combo locks on it. No one can see what is in the crate and and the transporter does not get the comb's for the locks, you give that info directly to the receiving customer. They are a bit pricey, but I have never had a problem with them.
