Default 749 front wheel question..

What front wheels will fit on a 749? I know all the 749/999 wheels will, but what about the 1098/848 front, or other models?

Also, are all the wheels on all models the same as far as weight and material? Or did some models get a cast wheel, some get a forged wheel, etc?

You can use 916 front wheels with 998R offset brake discs. I ran one in my race 999R. Only thing you need is wheel spacers. If you like, IŽll dig them out and give you the dimensions.

Thats good to know. I'll keep that in mind, but I already have an extra set of rotors for the 749 style wheels so I'm going to try to find a wheel that works with them first

Greg,

Chuck @ Gotham Cycles carries a lot of used Duc parts. I see he's got a 749/999 front wheel...cast aluminum for sale. It's grey but I'd figure you could paint/powdercoat it black. Link

An S4RS or S4R (testastretta only) will also fit.
