Default stir crazy

We are finally getting the snow here on the East side of Michigan. I am aleady fed up with shoveing this stuff. Sure I like the way it looks, but it is the work I do not like. The realization that it will be anoher 3 months before I can ride the Triple 8 again is also bringing me down.
Come on spring!

Yeah, I feel your pain. It has been almost a week since I have ridden my SS, and it looks like I will probably have to wait until tomorrow to get it out.

Rainy/snowy here, walked 6 miles this morning. Then spent the afternoon takin her (996) down. Probably about another week of "down" time before I can begin executing "the plan". Can I get 125 rear wheel on a budget of $3000. ? I stole the funds away from my (forever) BMW project

50 degrees and just breaking sunny this afternoon, went for my second ride with the new 41mm FCRs installed...

Did my first wheelie on the ole '97 ss/sp, and it wasn't intentional, and it scared me a little! There's something to be said for having a bike on which you can crack the throttle open and not have to worry about anything but acceleration...but man, there's something to be said for newfound power, too!

I'm gonna have to be careful...going for a long ride (well, maybe 200-300 miles) with a good friend tomorrow; supposed to get up to 49 degrees. It should give me some time to get a feel for my "new" bike. Next week, it's back to the 20's and 30's again...not that that will stop me from riding to work...

i'm envious of you guys that are still riding. the Hotrod M944 has been winterized for at least 2 months.
DesmoBob,
the carbs really transform the bike don't they?if you don't have them yet go with the 944 slugs. that and some head work made mine one fast mother.
if you can, loft that front wheel once for me.

I moved to Orange about 6 months ago, right in the middle of winter. I had some rather um, "interesting" moments with the black ice around here. I was doing on ride and it was early morning and foggy and I had to keep scraping the ice off my visor so I could see. I was riding a long a highway, so I didn't need to touch my brake or clutch until I came into town. When I did use the levers they were very slippery with the thin layer of ice that had formed on them. My jacket and tops of my gloves had gone white with all the ice that had formed on them. I had to ride through the snow a couple of times too. I guess you guys have worse snow than I do, but still that shouldn't stop you from going for a spin now and then.

stir crazy......you guys need to move up here !!!!

I haven't been on the road since the first week of November...if any of you have any well paying employment opportunities down there it would be much appreciated.
Riding all year round would be a dream...wow! ........ I better go to my meds now..

Its 80 here, but we are getting a cold front next week. Temps should drop to a chilly 70 degrees.
Actually, I am jealous of the six months out of the year that most of you get to ride. Aside from my one or two roadtrips a year to Deals Gap I have become bored of riding down here. Traffic and drivers are terrible, the roads are flat and straight, and the heat and humidity in the summer make it difficult to put on proper protection without contemplating aborting the ride.

Currently, I am thinking about relocating to someplace like Tennessee or North Carolina.
