My truck turned 40 years old today
1965 GMC 1/2 ton short bed fleet side built from the ground up in 1989 by My wife and I. Full built large journal 4 bolt high nickle "Bow-tie"block .060" over 327 with roller rockers and forged pistons. transfering 400 plus ponies back through a B&M pro built turbo 400 with manual valve body and 11" converter/ This is all hooked to a Dana 60 with 3.92 gears and Strange engineering axles.
Bed is Georgia red Oak I built myself
Paint is a one off acrylic enamel pinstriped by Garland Rush,(an old dope smokin' hippie that is just plain cool)
It ain't much but I built it myself over 15 years ago and it still turns heads when I drive it. It hauls ass, cost 45 bucks a year to register and I wouldn't trade it for a brand new one.
