Default Got my MV Agusta F4 312R!!

If there is anyone out there or not I finally did it and got myself an MV Agusta F4 312R monoposto. I got a great deal on a new 2008 Silver and Dark Gray.
I have wanted an F4 ever since I visited the Barber Motorsports park some years back. That was the first time I saw one of these bikes close up where I could really see it for what it was. These bikes are art on wheels.
I am not a very heavy drinker and don't hang out in bars. I am not a gambler nor a womanizer, huge waste of money there by the way. All I do is work and when I take a break from work it is only for a month or two in the winter and the summer. I work 7 days a week and 12 hours a day most of the time. My only joys in life are my dogs and my motorcycles.
I reward myself by getting a new motorcycle from time to time as the cash flow permits.
It is looking like I have an entire site to myself here. I can say dumb ass stuff and there will be no one to rag on me.

Way to go man! It's an awesome looking bike! It reminds me of when the 916 first came out. Both styles are beautiful.

I too noticed that this forum is a bit low on attendance so I thought I 'd chime in with you. Give us a write up once you get it on the street or track.....

Default Another person!!!!

It will be awhile before I can pick the bike up because I am out on the road working until May or June. The bike will be waiting for me when the work season is finished. I will have alot of time to think about the new bike before I can finally touch it.
Currently I am out in Virginia and then on to Alabama and then to Vermont to end the season up. Right now here in Virginia we are up to our ass in snow, burrrrr.
I will be sure to post up the first impressions and more pictures when I get the first ride done. I will be looking forward to when this comes about for sure.

Do you realize that they will not allow MV's in Canada! The Duc was actually my second choice after the MV! You have my eternal envy man!

I wonder why Canada won't allow MVs in??? Please explain if you can.
That has got to suck for you.
I will be sure to post up all details as soon as I can.
I will make my annual pilgrimage to California a little earlier this year.
I go down there every year and catch track days at Thunder Hill.
On the way I go through Reno where it is waiting for me and will pick up the MV and continue on.
While in California I will put the required mileage on it and on the way home I will have the 600 mile service done to maintain the warranty.
I have always done this myself but why take the chance. I have lucked out with the Ducatis so far with no issues.
One thing I am having done before I pick the bike up will be to have the reverse shift drum installed. From what I understand to change from standard to GP shift because there is no linkage stock one has to either get the GP shift drum or rear sets that have the linkage. I will be going the shift drum route as far as I know at this time. All of the other bikes have the GP shift pattern which I have become accustomed to and like. There is just no way I could deal with having one bike backwards.

We installed the shift drum on our MV as well. No way was I going to add linkage to get reverse shift.

Have fun with the bike!

Default Stuff

Moto,
I have been wondering about a full system, the RG3, and what all needs to go with it to make the bike run correctly. I heard there are some issues with the stock fueling that needs some TLC. What have you guys found out with your F4?
I am thinking the 2007 and the 2008 are one and the same bike, yes no?
Mine is the 1000 cc model and is a 312R.
Give me a few ideas please.

I found it at Freedom Cycle in Reno Nevada.
$15,750.00 right out of the crate.

Next to the traditional red/silver your black scheme is my favorite. Hope you enjoy it. Let us know if it really will do 312 kph!

Market for MV is too small in Canada to justify their going through the certification process.

Congrats on your new bike, though! I personally prefer that colour scheme.

Let us know the first time you pin the speedo! (or is it digital?)

The Speedo is digital and the tach is analog.
I don't think I will be pinning anything for awhile,
my second wife took my balls with her when she left.
