Default Thinking about buying a F4

I have been going to Ducati of Maimi for awhile and after seeing the 1098S and the tri colour (sp) sitting next to a handful of MV's I am drawn more to the MV. I just really want to here how bad they are maintance wise and what other problems people have with them. I am not selling my RC as it will be my every day bike. I just want something for the weekend ride thats not going to break down. The RC gets hot sitting still so I think I could deal with the heat issue at least I hope. I just don't want to spend 20k on a bike that is going to need some stupid type of service every 3k miles. Any opinions are welcome. I plan on making my purchase in March 08 so I have time to get some good info on the two bikes.

I had a 2005 F41000S for two months. I felt like I was fighting the bike every second I was on it. WAY TOO HOT, I have an RC51 too and the MV is 3 times as hot...The throttle is way too twitchy and abrupt on and off. Just sold it.

It is, however, quite possibly the most beautiful motorcycle ever made.
