I happen to notice that no one is talking about the MV's as of late, so I bring this informal pole to you because, well, I am bored.

Whom will have a better (more successful) race season. Let's predict total podiums here.....

1. The Semi-Ducati Corse prepped Formula extreme 749R, with Larry Pegram.
2. The MV Agusta FBF prepped Superbike, total, between both riders.
3. Ben Bostrom

I think this could be a relatively close race....

The Boss,

Albeit it would have been better had Kawasaki backed him. The man belongs on a Kawasaki. But he will probably have better support at Yamaha.

Speaking of Kawasaki, I'm interested to see how that new 6r does

Wrong Bostrom - you're thinking Eric. Ben belongs on a Ducati. I agree with you though - Eric should have received much better treatment from Kawasaki, they should have fought to keep him on their team. If only Aaron Yates didn't assassinate . . . I mean "crash into him" at Laguna in '03, he might have taken the title.

Thats cuz the Majority of MV owners here in the USA are nothing more then a bunch of snobs who think that theyre the best thing to come along since desmodromic valves. LOL! MV's are nice bikes, its the MV Owner's "Im better then you cuz I ride an MV and you dont" attitude that people get sick of.
Just go to their .net Forum and see what I mean. I think the Admin of that website is a real jerk and I think he started a 1098 Forum too. Probably cuz he wasnt getting enough following with the MV's. LOL!
Personally I like the Admin of this forum and this is where I feel I belong so this is where I'll stay. As far as talking more about MV's, maybe if MV would set up more dealerships across the US then there would be more of us "down to earth riders" with things to say about our MV's. If I were MV Agusta I would sue the Admin of .net for trademark infridgment or something because he is giving the MV enthusiest a bad name.

No not really, I was just responding to the originator of this post as to why no one is posting about MV's and I expressed my opinion on why I think that is according to my expeirience. Whats your issue???

This MV forum has never had much activity. You have made your experience clear on more than one occasion. Let it go. Harboring hate is not good for the soul.

On topic,

I'll take #2 for 4 wins total, Saginaw!

The owner of mvagusta.net doesn't even own an MV - he started the board because he loves the brand and aspires to own one in the future.

I highly doubt he started the 1098 forum as he is highly design oriented and the 1098 forum is a run of the mill board with a color change. He may actually be a graphic designer, I think I remember hearing that was his profession.

mvagusta.net is a really good MV resource - they support the sport. Not sure why you have a grudge against MV owners, and I don't really care, but I'd say you are taking the stereotype a bit too far. Do you or have you ever owned an MV?

No, I have never owned an MV but I did test ride one once and fell in love with the ride to be quite honest with you. However, after being banned from MV.net by Admin for expressing my opinion and nothing more I decided to buy a Ducati 748R instead. I have nothing against MV Agusta as a brand, I just dont like the likes of .net especially the Admin and since everybody seems to LOVE the admin over there so much I figured that they were one in the same. So as a rule I just say that MV owners are snobs, but to be more accurate I should clarify. What I really should say is the Admin of .net is an A-Hole!!!

But I may be an MV owner in 3 years or so. Im watching MV to see how they fare in SBK. As of now I am really enjoying my 748R. I'll probably be an MV owner way before the Admin of .net is. Maybe thats why he was being such a prick to me. Cuz I'll buy an MV before he does. LOL! But I wont think that Im a more important or better person then the guy riding a Suzuki just because of it unlike the likes of him and his dedicated following.

Fair enough. I agree there are some snooty MV owners, but there are also the same that ride Ducati, Bimota, etc... Lately it seems there are a lot of snooty Japanese bike owners who think they are better than Ducati owners as they are self proclaimed "smarter" for owning a bike that is a better value. Anyhow, every brand has similar members it seems. Maybe to different degrees though.

Anyhow, which year 748R do you have? I had a 2001 and miss it very much! I hope to get another some day...

Yeah youre right, there is good and bad in every section of life. That Admin guy over there just left a really bad taste in my mouth. Maybe I should thank him for that cuz hes the reason why I bought a 748R instead of the MV F41000R.
My 748R is an '02 with 2,400 original miles, carbon fiber everything except fairings, and a Full Akro Evo system. All thats left to do is have it dyno tuned and maybe a power commander added. Yeah I really love that bike. Its a nice street ride for sure.

I made a list of bikes that next time I buy one I won't sell it. The 2002 748R is on it. I like the fairings better than the 2001. I don't think there were any other changes were there? 2002 is the year I see the least of, was there less made - or do people just not sell them?

1500 units made in '02 as in '01, and people dont sell them cuz they just ride too nice to let go.
I payed a pretty penny for mine too. $11K
Youre right there is no difference from '01 to '02 except for the fairing design.
