Default MV's 2007 Lineup...

I was looking at MV's website and noticed their models for 2007 now only consist of:
Brutale 910R
F4 1000R
F4 1000R 1+1
F4 Senna
F4CC

Does this mean there are no "S" models offered anymore? The least expensive bike is now the 910R at $18k?

Seems like Ducati is getting cheaper, while MV moves farther up the price scale.

Yep, and apparently Mr. C. has been quoted as saying this is the way he wants it. I believe the goal is to have no bike cheaper than 20k euros or something.

No more S models. No more classic paint schemes (although the red and silver R comes close).

The new R bike is nice by most accounts, but it seems like they are losing their way a little in my opinion.

There's been lots of debate about this 100k euro "new" bike. Obviously, if you can afford it, it's no big deal. To me, it looks like a nice stunt to facilitate the Ferrari payments of the upper management. The bike comes with an alleged 15k euro watch or something, and a leather jacket. And it's not even really a new bike. It's the same old bike with a few new things and some art gallery quality carbon. I think WTF is putting it lightly.

If we find out that all that money goes toward a racing program, I'll be happy to take back whatever bad stuff I've said. I'll be pulling for the MV riders in the states, because I think the bike is more capable than people think.

But as time goes on I become less and less a fan of MV. This whole bought exclusivity thing is paper thin and pathetic in my opinion. I love my 750 and that won't change, but I don't see any reason to buy a new one.

Ducati will probably get my money, even though twins don't do much for me. They just aren't engaging on the track.

Question Hummmmm?

I not sure what the problem is with MV, I'm not in that loop, but what I can tell you is, my brother and I stopped in at "Ducati of Maimi" or something like that? We went to look at the MV's there and Benelli + Bimotas! As soon as you walk in the door, there's 3 MVs F4's,
1, 2006 Corse model Awesome!
1, 2007 R There Beautiful!
1, 2007 Senna...
I liked the color combo. on the 2006 Corse model BEST white and a kind of orange,=SWEET! The 2007 R was the red & silver really nice, has like 7-10 more horses too.
Not so sure why anyone would want the "Senna" model though?

Man I'd love to own one of those babies!
The Benelli SportBike, is Sooo cool too! Green and silver, Beautiful! IMHO Pictures DON"T do this MC any justice!

Peace Jeff

Yeah, but are you really willing to spend $7k more for the "base" model MV sportbike (although that's really doing it an injustice) than this new Ducati?

Fact is, probably 90% of people would be faster on the Ducati given the track isn't all top end. That's not a very tough decision for me.

There have been some tuning issues with the new bike, too. One guy noticed something like a 20hp dip in the midrange compared to the previous S model, even though the R made more top end. I'd be highly pissed if I was that guy.

MVs are cool, don't get me wrong. I'm just not sure I can agree with the direction they are taking.

I like the Benelli too. I got to see the WSB race bike close up. Probably could have snuck in a sitting on it but that would have been rude. I love it. It sounded so cool too. Kind of like a big, low revving, booming 4 cylinder compared to the buzzy 4 cylinders and farty twins. I miss seeing it race. I don't even know where a dealer is, so I can't think about getting one.

Yeah man, I hear you but, the prices we were quoted there was no big differance, that's why I said, "I not sure what the problem is with MV"... because the prices were.... approx. OK...

2006 Corse he said right at about 22,000/23,000...
2007 R " " " " 24,000....... not $7,000 differance..

Plus for me, it's NOT about being the badest around, it's Reliability, quality, looks! Plus you know the whole emotional thing

Peace Jeff

I'd buy 1 in less than a 0.5second! If I could

I just got done hurting myself last week I got to see these in the flesh for the 1st time, alls I can say is OMG! Beautiful

I'd take this mc MV, over ANY & ALL other Italian brands!

I also go to see, the Benelli SportBike, in the flesh too. Green and silver, Beautiful!. Come up behind it and you see the NOT so little yellow rad. cooling fans, Radi. is under the seat! Trick as $HIT!.......IMHO,.. Pictures DON"T do this MC any justice!

This would also be my 2nd choice of Italian Beauties

Peace Jeff

If Superbike doesnt give Ducati the 100cc increase rule change that they are banking on then MV may be the one to take the throne in Italy.

Default 910s

Guys they are having trouble making enough 910R 's to meet world demand, once they due there will be more 910's. Us has plenty of 06 910s at a great price. My 2 cents
