I hope that rumor is just a myth. Hopefuly they unveil something that people can reasonably afford. Hopefuly something no more then $30K. Otherwise its just another waste of time, money, and engineering. Great, Just what us REAL Sportbike riders really need in this world, another ridiculouse and unrealistic insanely priced exclusive motorcycle displayed in someone's living room.
The only kind of people that can afford a bike for over $100K are people like Bill Gates and Donald Trump and those kind of people dont ride motorcycles.
Go figure!
I think MV should take some notes from Ducati and start thinking about how they are going to extend price reductions to its motorcycle buying customers.
How long did it take Ducat? What like 14 years since the 916 came out, and now we finally have a Superbike (1098) that is reasonably priced. MV please take notes from Ducati.

oh yeah! Well lets just say this, i'd be willing to bet pinks that there is no one that has posted on this thread yet, including myself, that can afford to blow over $100K on a bike, and here is where the enthusiasts are suppose to be. Thats the point.
They only have to find 99 guys with enough money and the desire to own one. If you look at he combined sales of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, and Bentley in the US alone, it is clear that there are still plenty of people with the wherewithal to purchase one with walking-around money.
They could probably sell all of them just in California, much less the whole world.

We are talking about bikes here, not cars. Totally different customer base.
Apples and Oranges. And yes, I am also referring to the pocket books of bike enthusiasts vs. car enthusiasts.

Cars and bikes are different? No $hit?
The point you're missing is that many car enthusiasts are also into motorcycles and fall under the general label of Gearhead. There is a lot of new money around, in the hands of young and old. Given the number of stupid choppers sold which push well above $50k, they will have no problem selling these bikes in such limited quantities.
Add in the bling factor and several of the MTV Cribs crowd will also want one just because of the price, even if it just sits next to their OCC which has 120 miles on the odometer.
Remember MV sold 300 Oro models, pushing $50k in today's dollars. At the time the company had no dealer network and a brand-new unproven product. It wouldn't surprise me if they have orders for all of the run of 100 by the end of the Milan show.
Older crowd generally has more money then younger crowd. "generally" ok.
That is a TRUE statement.
Thats why chopper buiders can get away with "higher then Superbike" prices.
Because older people buy choppers "generally."
So yes, I am right in saying that a $100K MV-F4 is over priced for a sportbike, even when compared to todays market trends concerning prices of higher end bikes in their perspective categories. So there!

You would be really stupid to buy it. Its not a masterpiece painting like MV wants you to believe. Its not going to appreciate in value only depreciate, and no they wont let you test ride one. LOL! Get the F4R for $22K
Much more worth it in my humble opinion.
