Default Exhaust Question

Hi All - Still going back and forth on Ducati and MV. Wondering how much you get from the slip ons (they say 5 hp) and a full system (7hp + 5hp for the slip ons). Guess I'm wondering on sound (how does it sound stock vs the slip ons) and performance. Also are these prices similar to Ducati (slip ons are 1500, full systems are 3k plus).

Just checked with Motowheels and the slip ons are on par in price to Ducati but the full system is only 2500! WOW what a deal...

As far as performance, you will need either a chip or a PC with the full system for the MV. And a shop that *really* knows how to install and tune them. Most of the complaints about MVs are related to throttle and tuning, and my interpretation is that it is easy to screw up if you don't work on them and know what you are doing. So if you get it done, don't install it yourself. Or if you do, have the shop use the mathesis to smooth the throttle and make sure the mix is set right. Mine came set up with RG3s on it, so I don't have a before and after comparison, but with the RG3 my bike sounds more like a real WSBK than anything else I have ever heard (except, of course, Ducs with full systems--Termi has the sound down solid on their systems).

Agreed. Follow these three steps or hand it to your shop:

then

then maybe

First question to shop; do you have an exhaust analyzer and know how to use it to tune MV's? If not - move on to the next.
