Default It's Going Back Together

I finished the paintwork on the frame, swingarm, headlight bucket, subframe, fork lowers, motor ( I still have to do the clutch cover and access cover on the left side) and lower triple. I stuffed the motor back in Friday night and did the rest on Saturday. The Ohlins shock was rebuilt at Section 8 Superbike and is in the mail. I have the rear full carbon Dymag and am waiting on the front.

Quick, someone run in there afterward and put a couple bolts underneath it!

I like the Italian flag back there, looks like an old F1.

No worries, I would just toss them in the box with all the other misc. left over parts that the engineers didn't really need in the first place! You can save a bunch of weight if you only use 90% of the original fasteners.

Actually I replace all of the stock chromated fasteners with stainless or titanium.

Quick question?

Small bottles of paint? What brand are you using...I assume for small detail work.
Thanks

That is just Model Master enamel that I grabbed to see if I really liked the MV logo that is cast into the clutch cover painted in color or just to stick with the Gloss black. I usually use HOK pinstriping enamel for this but I didnt have anything but gold and black on hand. The rest of the paint work is done with PPG DP90 epoxy primer under PPG DBC or DBU base with 2021 Deltron clear out of a Sata Jet2000.

Thanks,
Is the PPG DP90 primer white? How does it spray? Smooth and flat?

I usually use black. PPG makes it in different colores but I lay a white base coat over it for most colors. It's just easier to keep black on hand. It sprays very nice and it is what I have been using on engines for five years with no top coat.
