Amen. Colored tires were (still are) popular on racing bicycles. One of the few manufacturers with proper testing equipment determined there was no way possible to make a colored tire stick like black rubber. Especially in the rain. They never released the results (hence I'm not going to mention the name) but they don't offer colored tires. It has to do with the silica and carbon black and how it affects the compound. I'm alarmed to see colored tires now hitting motorcycles.
