Default aftermarket belts for DS engine

Hey all,

does anyone have any experience with aftermarket belts for the 1000 and 1100 DS engines? I know that for the old engines you could get a Quentin Hazel or other belt for a fraction of the price. Someone on here even mentioned a belt off a Renault 1.4l model.

Thank you.

I have them on my 03 Monster 1000Sie.....they are the exact fit that ca cycleworks sells...I put them on my self using my Iphone to tune the belt. So far so good after 500 miles and I had a shop check them recently, all was good.

Hey you two, thanks for sharing the info. I donīt see a big price advantage between those and Bucci belts as itīs only 25-30€ the pair.

A little disappointing... I thought that you could get some automotive belts like you could for the old 2v and 4v engines.

I think Gates makes a set of belts for the Ducati, however, if you use the kevlar ones they are just as expensive. There are a few threads about them floating around.
