Default state reg. sticker removal

I bought my 998 out of NC. It appears the state registers bikes with a sticker to the left fork tube. well, i'm in Ohio and don't require or need such an eye sore.. What is the best, but least corrosive way to remove one of these "stick forever stickers"?

heat, goo gone, wd40, volcano ?

thanks on thoughts

I would use WD40. Works well on all sticker residue and wont harm the anodizing. Not sure if Goo-Gone or Goof-Off will harm the anodizing or not.

With out a doubt the best way to remove any sort of sticker is with a hairdryer, or a heatgun. A hairdryer works great on the high setting. It only takes about thirty seconds to heat it up sufficiently so you can easily pull it off. Any residue that might be left can be taken off with WD-40.

3M makes some stuff called bumper sticker/bug/tar remover. Works great!
