Default chest protection

...was browsing and found this thread.

Good Back Protector

Lot's of good info on back protectors but I'm interested in getting a chest protector to add to my safety gear. Found a few...

-Integrated chest/back
http://www.motowheels.com/italian/my...categoryID=490

-Chest only
http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no=77

After hearing some stories about how some folks injuries could have been reduced/avoided I'm convinced everyone should wear one.

What's the good word? What do you guys think is the best out there?

What a coincidence, I was just looking into chest protectors after reading some posts on the WERA board Thanks for the links…I think that I’ll try the Bohn protector…I have some friends that absolutely love their back protectors.

I bought the one from Helimot - works really well and is comfortable.

I always wear a back protector & sometimes a chest protector. I've always just cut a piece of closed cell foam to size & stuffed in the front of my jacket when I zip up. The problem is that with my increasing girth, a back protector & a chest protector, I look a little like a beach ball these days.

Would a chest proctector (like the Bohn one) limit or hinder having your chest low on the tank? Has anyone used one of these on the track? Its seems like a good idea, but not sure how it would effect body postion?

I think the main reason a lot of people started using chest protectors was for padding body/tank. I don't think it will effect body position at all.

I'm thinking I'm going to get a chest protector for this upcoming season. Trying to decide what to do for the street..

I just got this setup, haven't tried it on the track yet. It's the same one Nicky and Colin wear.
Check out his website.
BTW: It took forever to get it!!

Do any of these companies offer a women's chest protector? Looking at the design, I'm thinking most of these wouldn't fit Jessica properly...

this is the chest protector you want. Custom fitted, reasonably priced, used by pros. I got one last year.
